Terms of Use

These terms describe the rules for using AITranslations, especially rooms, live translation, conference features, recordings, post-processing, and LiveChat.

Private service (invitation or request)

AITranslations is provided privately. Use is available by invitation or request only. It is not a public commercial offer, a professional translation service, or an emergency/mandatory communication service.

Features and limits

Depending on room configuration, AITranslations may process audio, video, text, transcripts, translations, TTS output, LiveChat messages, conference data, recordings, clips, summaries, and export/email outputs. Features may be experimental, change, or not work reliably in every setup.

AI providers and API keys

The platform can be used with user-provided or admin-provided API keys for external providers. Provider choice, costs, availability, rate limits, and provider terms are not fully controlled by AITranslations. Users or room operators are responsible for ensuring that use of their provider accounts is permitted.

Permitted use

Users must not submit audio, video, text, file uploads, LiveChat content, or post-processing content whose processing would violate applicable law, third-party rights, these terms, or the applicable terms, safety policies, or acceptable-use rules of the configured AI or media provider. This includes unlawful content, abusive use, third-party confidential information, and content the user is not authorized to process.

Room operators are responsible for appropriately informing participants about AI-assisted translation, conference/media transmission, LiveChat processing, and any recordings or post-processing, and for ensuring that use of the room is permitted in the relevant context.

Recordings, clips, and post-processing

If recording or processing is enabled, audio segments may be stored as clips and later processed into transcripts, summaries, translations, TTS audio, ZIP files, or other exports. These features should only be used when participants have been appropriately informed and storage or further processing is permitted.

LiveChat and AI processing

When LiveChat is used, messages, display names, language settings, and technical metadata may be processed. If translation or supporting AI functions are enabled, this data may be sent to the configured AI provider.

LiveChat content must also comply with the terms, privacy notices, and safety policies of the AI provider used in the room configuration, such as OpenAI, Google Gemini, Mistral, MediaVoice/Speaches, or OpenAI-compatible endpoints where applicable.

AI outputs

Transcripts, translations, LiveChat translations, summaries, and audio output are generated automatically and may contain errors, omissions, or unsuitable wording. Users should independently check important content.

Privacy

Information about the processing of personal data is available in the Privacy Policy.

Availability and changes

Because AITranslations is a private project under active development, there is no entitlement to permanent availability, specific features, specific providers, or unchanged output quality.
